Steve Colarossi is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law who has enjoyed a diverse law practice since earning his J.D. in 1989. He currently serves clients in the firm's business law and commercial real estate practices.
A native of Revere, Massachusetts, Steve has a long history of public service. He currently serves as a member of the City of Norwalk Board of Education, where he is Chairman of the Finance Committee. Steve is also a member of the City of Norwalk Audit Committee. Previously, he served as a City Councilor for the City of Revere (where he was Chairman of the Zoning & Environmental Affairs Committee and author of zoning revisions that addressed the long-term planning goals of the community) and later served as a Member of that city's Election Commission. Steve was also a Member of the Board of Directors of the non-profit Community Action Programs Inter City, Inc. Throughout the 1990's, he also served as a guardian ad litem and independent court investigator within the Juvenile Court of Middlesex County (Massachusetts).
As an honors graduate of Harvard College, Steve concentrated in economics and presented his Senior Essay entitled, "A Quantitative Analysis of the Effect of Design Characteristics of Public Housing on Neighborhood Real Estate Values." He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1989 and served as Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Law & Politics.
Steve began his legal career as an associate at Schulte, Roth & Zabel in New York City before returning to Boston to join the Real Estate Department of Carolan, Sullivan and Greeley. Since 2003, he has been Of Counsel to Berkowitz, Trager & Trager and has been active in the Norwalk community as a school volunteer, youth sports coach and volunteer at Norwalk Hospital.
