As a founding partner, Dick brings to the firm over 40 years of experience as a transactional lawyer.  Dick's practice began in the commercial and residential real estate areas and over the years expanded to include complex corporate and real estate transactions.  In addition, during the past 20 years his practice has evolved to include a specialty in the areas of executive compensation, employment contracts, termination arrangements and the like.  Dick is also well versed in business and estate planning, transaction structuring and related matters.  His practice typically includes advice and strategic counseling for his broad base of clients, including high net worth individuals, small to mid-sized companies, senior executives at both private and public companies and media and entertainment clients (both talent and executives).

Dick is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where he received a B.A. degree in 1963, and the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1966.  Dick has practiced in Westport for over 40 years and has long been active in municipal affairs as a member of the Westport Representative Town Meeting and Planning and Zoning Commission.  He is also a past president of the Westport Bar Association.  Dick has been recognized and honored as one of the "Best Lawyers in America" for over ten years and enjoys a Martindale-Hubbell A-V Rating.  He is a former member of the Connecticut Bar Association Fee Arbitration Panel.
